North Rhine-Westphalia

The whole region, with no travelling.

NRW is Germany's most populous state and home to one of the largest Polish communities in Europe. Distance to a practice should not decide whether you start at all.

What I focus on

Two themes run through most of the conversations I have: adjustment and crisis. Adjustment means the first years after a move, but also the fifth year, when it turns out you are not quite at home here or there. Crisis means the moment something breaks suddenly — a loss, a separation, losing work, deciding to stay or to go back.

But not only that

A focus does not mean it is all I do. Anxiety, low mood, burnout, difficulties in a relationship, work on boundaries and self-worth — these are ordinary subjects of psychological work and are equally at home here. Migration can be the background rather than the topic.

How it works in practice

Sessions run over a secure video link sent to you by email. All you need is somewhere you can speak freely for 50 minutes. Fees are the same wherever in the state you are.

Do you work with people outside NRW?

Yes. I offer online sessions in other states and abroad, including in Poland. This page describes NRW because most of the people I work with are from here.
